Old West Saloon and Kal Tire Cowboy Steak BBQ
The doors are open at 3pm to the Curling Rink on Saturday afternoon before the Rodeo starts so you can wet your whistle at the Old West Saloon and enjoy live entertainment from the Ken Thompson Band and other vocal artists, some of which were participants from the 2016 Northwest Round Up’s Talent Stage. Steaks will be served at the Kal Tire Cowboy Steak BBQ from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. Kids accompanied by a paid adult get a free hotdog and drink.

Bull-A-Rama Rough Stock Rodeo
The action starts at 7pm at the Bowsman Arena, where we will again have some of the top riders in Canada competing in the Saddlebronc, Bareback, and Bullriding events. Bowsman Bull-A-Rama is a dual sanctioned rodeo event and is now involved with both the Canadian Cowboys Association and Manitoba Rodeo Cowboys Association, which allows the competitors to collect points towards their respective Finals Rodeos.

There are a few new additions to Bull-A-Rama this year as well. The Freestyle Bull Fighting will give these amazing rodeo protection athletes the opportunity to show off the skills, speed, and agility they use to protect the bullriders as they go one-on-one with the bulls in the ring. There will also be a Mini Bucking Ponies event for riders from the ages of 6 to 13 years old. Some of these young competitors have been to the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.

Emery Erickson will be announcing with Prime Time Rodeos and Travis James Rank Mini Pony Ltd. providing the stock.

Country Dance Party

From 9pm to 3am there will be an All Ages Dance featuring “Sonny and the Hurricanes” and the “Ken Thompson Band” back at the Curling Rink. There will be free unserviced camping in the “Snakebite Canyon Campground”, so bring your campers and tents if you want to stay the night. We will also have the Safe Ride Home service available again.

There will be a 50/50 draw and all Bull-A-Rama proceeds will be going towards Medical Equipment for the Swan River Valley.

Thank you to all our Sponsors.
