Swan Hills Ranch Wins Awards at Harvest Showdown

On November 4-7, 2015 Swan Hills Ranch competed at the 27th Annual Grain Miller’s Harvest Showdown in Yorkton, winning several events throughout the weekend.

Scott Tibble (above) received the Grand Reserve Championship Award for the 2015 Futurity Show Pen of Open Heifers. The award was presented by John Simpson, past president of Grain Millers Harvest Showdown. The 2015 futurity class involves 24 pens of 3 heifer calves. These heifers will return next year as bred heifers to compete in the bred heifer futurity.


Robyn Tibble of Swan Hills Ranch was awarded the 2015 Youth Cattlemen’s Classic Ryan Stilborn Memorial sponsored by Pheasantdale Cattle Company. Lionel Stilborn presented the award, pictured here with Judge Ryan Hurlburt from Saskatoon, SK.


Robyn competed among several junior entries to win Reserve Grand Championship for the 2015 youth classic competition, judged 50% on showmanship abilities and 50% on communication skills. Robyn will be competing in the Bank of Montreal Canadian Youth Extreme show taking place at Regina’s Agribition later this month.

The 2015 Angus Tag Show involved competing against 13 classes of both red and black angus cattle.
