On November 6,2015, shortly before 2:30 pm, Swan River RCMP were called to a collision involving two vehicles, approximately 4 km North of Swan River on Highway 10, near road 216 North.


Officers arrived on scene and confirmed the collision involved a semi truck and a pickup. The driver of the pickup, a 52 year-old female from Bowsman MB and a 24 year-old female from Sturgis SK. were both pronounced deceased at the scene. The other driver, a 52 year-old male from Cowan MB, was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Contributing factors have not been confirmed at this point. Traffic analysts are assisting the ongoing investigation.
