Following the initial investigation into a fatal motor vehicle collision on August 31, 2015, Swan River RCMP has charged Jackson Dewey LUND, 23, from Kelowna British Columbia with:

-Impaired Operation (by Alcohol) of Motor Vehicle Causing Death, and
-Operation of a Vehicle while over 80 mg% of alcohol Causing Death, both offences under the Criminal Code of Canada.

On August 31st, 2015 at approximately 4:45 pm, officers from Swan River RCMP were called to a collision involving a motorcycle and a pick-up truck at the intersection of 4th Avenue and Main Street in Swan River.Officers and emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found the motorcyclist seriously injured. The victim, a 30 year-old male from Prince George BC was transported to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
