Regular Meeting of the members of Council of the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman held in Council Chambers, in Minitonas, Manitoba this 7th day of July, 2015 A.D. at 7:00 p.m.

RESOLVED THAT the Agenda be adopted as amended.

2. S. Walmsley – J. Caruk
RESOLVED THAT the minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council help on June 16th, 2015 the minutes of the Public Hearing held June 16th & June 23rd, 2015 and the minutes of the Special Meeting of Council held on June 30th, 2015 shall be adopted as circulated.

3. G. Bartel – C. Densen
RESOLVED THAT the members of the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman Council do hereby agree to go ‘In Camera’ as a Committee of the Whole in accordance with Subsection 152 (3)(b)(ii) of The Municipal Act, and with respect to employee matters.
Carried.

4. S. Walmsley – L. Mychalchuk
RESOLVED THAT we do agree to return to reopen the meeting to the public in accordance with Subsection 152(4) of the Municipal Act.
Carried.

5. C. Densen – L. Hutman
RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman does hereby approve the Staff Expense Reports as submitted.
Carried.

6. L. Mychalchuk – S. Walmsley
RESOLVED THAT the attached requests for leave shall be approved by the Council for the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman.
Carried.

7. J. Caruk – G. Bartel
RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman does hereby approve the Staff overtime reports as submitted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the aforementioned overtime shall be banked for future use or paid out with the next regular payroll as indicated on the employee’s report.

8. G. Bartel – C. Densen
WHEREAS the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman Council feels it is important to acknowledge all types of historical monuments; and
WHEREAS school cairns are a way to acknowledge the land where country schools once stood; and
WHEREAS the Allenvale School Cairn is located on private property and is in the process of being sold; and
WHEREAS the Municipality has received an Easement Agreement for the aforementioned Cairn, which names the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman as one of the 4 Grantees in order to ensure that the cairn is maintained and accessible to the public in the future,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council for the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman does hereby agree to enter in the said agreement; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Council does hereby authorize the Reeve and Chief Administrative Officer to sign said agreement on behalf of the Municipality.

9. L. Hutman – G. Bartel
WHEREAS the Community & Regional Planning Branch has reviewed the application for subdivision of PT of S.W. ¼ SEC. 27-36-26 WPM (MARTIN) on behalf of the municipality and finds it to be in compliance with the Zoning By-Law for the RM of Minitonas; and
WHEREAS there are concerns and recommendations from MAFRD and MIT but no formal objections from any of the government departments or agencies in response to the above noted subdivision; and
WHEREAS the application has been reviewed by the council of the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman, and found to be acceptable by the members of council;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman does herby approve the subdivision of the aforementioned parcel of land as per the details submitted to the Municipality by Manitoba Local Government, Community Planning services dated June 17th, 2015 with the only condition being that the Manitoba Hydro Easement be completed as required.

10. S. Walmsley – G. Bartel
RESOLVED THAT tipping fees at the Minitonas Lagoon will be set at $15 per load for sewage collected from contractors working with in the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman.

11. C. Densen – L. Hutman
RESOLVED THAT the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman does herby agree to place the attached ad in the Star & Times for a period of 2 weeks and on ValleyBiz for a period of 1 week.
Carried.

12. L. Hutman – C. Densen
RESOLVED THAT we do now adjourn at 11:00 p.m. to meet again on July 21st, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. for the next regular meeting of council.
