Town of Swan River Minutes – April 7, 2015

The Council of the Town of Swan River met on Tuesday, April 7th, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Council Chambers with Mayor McKenzie presiding and Councilor’s, Jacobson, Delaurier, Whyte, Sakal, Moriaux and Friesen present.


Minutes:

1. RESOLVED that the Agenda for the April 7th, 2015 regular meeting of Council be received.

2. RESOLVED that the minutes of the March 19th, 2015 regular meeting of Council be adopted as received.

3. RESOLVED that Joe Mante be appointed as Interim Manager of Aquatic Services effective April 2nd, 2015 to June 26th, 2015 as per Schedule “A” attached.

4.RESOLVED the Lisa Lintick’s, R.C.M.P. Clerk, request for a leave of absence be hereby approved.

5. RESOLVED that the Building Inspector be authorized to attend the Manitoba Building
Officials Association Annual Spring Seminar being held in Winnipeg, MB on April 22nd and April 23rd, 2015.

10. RESOLVED that Westman Communications Group’s application for the installation of conduit on First Street, Second Street, Hill Avenue, Valley Road and Main Street East be hereby approved.

11. RESOLVED that the Town of Swan River provide the Swan River Urban Forest Committee with a $300.00 annual grant to pay for incidental expenses.

12. RESOLVED that the accounts as follows be hereby approved for payment:
(1) General Accounts from Cheque No. 16641 to No. 16710 for a total of $79,750.89.
(2) Payroll Account from Cheque No. 3532 to No. 3538 for a total of $103,308.69

13. RESOLVED that the Town of Swan River continue to sponsor the Swan Valley Employment and Training Project from June 29th, 2015 to June 30th, 2016.
