Prairie Mountain Health, in partnership with Swan Valley RISE, organized a tour of Swan River on February 8, 2015 for five residents of the University of Manitoba’s Northern and Remote Family Medicine Residency Program.

During their visit, the residents toured the Swan Valley Health Centre, soon to be established Primary Care Centre, the Swan Valley Credit Union Aquatic Centre, and Fit 24/7 Gym.

The trip is part of ongoing efforts to raise awareness about the Swan Valley as a practice location and is another example of health partners and stakeholders working together to recruit and retain health care professionals in the region.
