SVAPL held their annual AGM and pot luck supper on January 21, 2015.

There were many new faces in attendance for the pot luck which was gratifying to see!

After a great supper, everyone stayed and visited for awhile.

Some of the new faces stayed on for the AGM, where the election of officers took place and many things were discussed for the upcoming year. A budget was presented and accepted and there will be future discussions regarding the water (or lack thereof) at the facility. The officers elected were as follows: Tom Stradwick, President; Holly Urban, Vice President; Dave Theunissen, Treasurer; Marnie Waddell, Secretary. Angie Hinchliffe has agreed to give our Secretary and Treasurer a hand with their workload, which is much appreciated.

There are a lot of new volunteers helping out at the shelter. These people work very hard to help us out, and we would like to thank them and our volunteers that have been there for awhile. No job is too small, and every little bit helps.

Audrey Sercombe and Maggie Romak, as the Foster chair and co-chair, do a huge portion of the work with the animals at the facility, along with other chores, and we thank them for their dedication.

George Hathaway is also a big help at the facility. All of us at SVAPL would like to thank the community for their support. The shelter could not exist without you.
