RESOLVED that the elected Council for the Municipality of Swan Valley West, acting as the “Transition Committee”, will be reimbursed for all Transition Committee meetings at a rate of $20.00 per hour and .50 km and that these amounts shall be calculated and added to the Municipality of Swan Valley West 2015 Financial Plan. WHEREAS The Municipal Amalgamation Act, Regulation 134/2014, being the Village of Benito and the Rural Municipality of Swan River Amalgamation Regulation, states that “On January 1, 2015, the Village of Benito and the Rural Municipality of Swan River are amalgamated to establish the Municipality of Swan Valley West” and that “municipal office” means the office located at 216 Main Street, West, Swan River, Manitoba; and
WHEREAS it is prudent and necessary that the business of the municipality be conducted at the municipal office;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Box 369, Benito, Manitoba shall be closed effective January 31, 2015 and that all mail for the amalgamated municipalities shall be forwarded to the Municipality of Swan Valley West, Box 610, Swan River, Manitoba.
