Calvin and Darla Leslie were overwhelmed by the response of a concert given to raise funds to aide in Darla’s medical expenses.

The Minitonas Coffee House Band provided accompaniment for many of the performers from around the Swan Valley area, as well as performing as few of their own favorite songs. The event was attended by an enthusiastic and generous crowd which packed the Minitonas Town Hall.

At the end of the evening Darla was presented with a guest book and $3,370, which included the full monies from the 50/50 Draw (Loretta Formo was the winner of the draw and donated it back to be included with the other donations).

Performances included Brittany Moore, Katie Smith, Janzen Family (Hanna, Trinity, Talia and Jesse), Wyatt and Levi Reader, Sydney Fleming, Brad Slepicka, Morgan Cryderman, Marianne Hume, Just For Joy, Allen Rowe, and Tayler Fleming.

Colton Leslie (Darla’s son) joined his grandfather, George Woodley (Darla’s father) to play guitar and sing “Have I Told You Lately That I Love You” and “You Are My Best Friend”.

Thank you to all who so generously gave of their time and services to make this enjoyable evening.
