A Regular Meeting of Council of the Village of Benito was called to order at 7:00 pm on Tuesday October 28, 2014 in the Village Council Chambers.

Mayor Meadows called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm

RESOLVED that the minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held on October 14, 2014 be adopted as presented.
Carried.

RESOLVED that the agenda for the Regular Meeting held on October 28, 2014 be adopted as amended.
Carried.

BE IT RESOLVED that the October Maintenance report be accepted as presented by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Carried.

RESOLVED that the Village of Benito accept the Report of the Benito Fire Department as presented.
Carried.

RESOLVED that the Financial Statement to September 30, 2014 be accepted as presented.
Carried.

RESOLVED that the Village of Benito appoint six members of the Benito Fire Department as Peace Officers for the Village of Benito as attached hereto as Schedule “A” for the purpose of enforcing By-Law #05/10 between the hours of nine o’clock on the evening of October 31st, A.D. 2014 and six o’clock in the morning of November 1st, A.D. 2014.

RESOLVED that accounts numbered 25614 to 25693 in the amount totaling $57,566.32 be ratified as paid.

RESOLVED that the Operating Licence for the Benito Public Water System, issued by the Office of Drinking Water in compliance with the Drinking Water Safety Act be received.

OFFENBERGER
RESOLVED that the sum of $2835.97 be hereby authorized for transfer from the Cemetery Trust Fund to the Village of Benito General Operating Fund for 2014 expenses as attached hereto.

WHEREAS the September employee overtime reports have been received and reviewed by Council;
BE IT RESOLVED that the overtime hours recorded be accepted as presented and be approved for payment as attached hereto.

RESOLVED that the Regular Meeting of Council scheduled for Tuesday November 11, 2014 be hereby rescheduled to Tuesday November 18, 2014. and;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the November 25, 2014 meeting be cancelled.

RESOLVED that the annual Village Appreciation Supper be held on December 4th, 2014 at Buffalo Junction.

BE IT RESOLVED that the employee request for vacation be approved as requested.

RESOLVED that the Village of Benito authorize all members of Council to attend the AMM Convention in Winnipeg, Manitoba from November 24-26, 2014; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that registration and eligible expenses as per policy be hereby authorized for payment.
