Man Charged in Numerous Swan River Break & Enters

Since July 2014, Swan River RCMP has been investigating numerous Break and Enter to businesses.

On October 23, 2014, at approximately 5:20 am, Swan River RCMP members were conducting surveillance on local businesses (which had been ongoing for the past several weeks). Police observed a lone male committing a business break and enter. A short pursuit on foot occurred with the suspect being apprehended.

The lengthy investigation led the RCMP to charge 23-year-old, Tyrel Bjornson, of Swan River, Manitoba with the following charges:

15 counts of Breaking and Entering into businesses
Possession of break-in instruments
Disguised with the intent of committing an offence
Resist arrest
Fail to comply with a probation order.

Tyrel Bjornson is scheduled to appear in court on October 24, 2014 in Swan River, Manitoba.
