The Council of the Town of Swan River met on Tuesday, September 16th, 2014, at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Council Chambers with Mayor McKenzie presiding and Councilor’s, Delaurier, Friesen, Sakal, Jacobson, Bobick and Whyte present.
Ron Lewicki, Building Inspector was present to provide information regarding building By-law.
Minutes:
1. RESOLVED that the minutes of the August 19th, 2014 and September 2nd, 2014 regular meetings of Council be adopted as received.

2. RESOLVED that the Agenda for the September 16th, 2014 regular meeting of Council be received.

RESOLVED that Variation Application No. 1/2014 by Swan Lake Watershed Conservation District to allow the construction of a 16 x 16 secondary seasonal building to be used as an education centre in the green space being established on the property at Lot 3 Plan 1072 DLTO be hereby approved without conditions.

6. RESOLVED that the assessment alterations amendments as listed by Manitoba Local Government Assessment Services dated September 5th, 2014, be made to the 2014 Tax Roll under authority of Section 300(6) and 326 of The Municipal Act.

7. WHEREAS: Breast cancer is the most common cancer in Canadian women and is a serious disease that will affect 24,400 women, 210 men and their families this year, and
WHEREAS: It is of great importance that money be raised to fund breast cancer research projects and community programs, and
WHEREAS: The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation strives to be an effective advocate, a trusted leader, a respectful partner and a catalyst in creating a future without breast cancer.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the Town of Swan River, does hereby proclaim the month of October 2014 Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the Town of Swan River
