Great Turnout at Cowan Fall Supper

On Sunday, September 28, 2014, more than 300 people enjoyed a delicious supper at the Cowan Community Centre hosted by the Cowan Community Ladies.

Doors opened at 4:30pm and within minutes the hall was bustling with people. At 5:00pm the buffet table was opened with a long line forming instantly.

Attendees were presented with a turkey and beef supper including a wide variety of homemade delights such as numerous salads, perogies, and cabbage rolls – just to name a few. Upon completion of this main coarse (if they waited that long), they had a wide selection of delicious homemade desserts to choose from.

I am certain that there was something for everyone and no one went home hungry.

Judging from the happy chatter, the hall was a good spot to catch up with friends, family, and neighbors while enjoying a good meal.

Thank you to all who supported our supper event by attending and to those who organized, donated food and helped prepare the meal. Such events in our little rural communities can not survive without all that support – so a big thank you.

We hope to see you again.
