Vehicle Fire on Highway 10 North

Swan River Fire Department Media Release | On August 11, 2014 at approximately 6:30 am Swan River Fire, RCMP and EMS were paged to a vehicle on fire at the Junction of Highway 10 and 83. Upon arrival the rear of the tractor unit appeared to have been on fire around the area of the tires. Fire crews used attack lines to extinguish and cool the area. It was determined that an overheated brake caused the fire.

The driver of the semi unit was injured while trying to extinguish the fire and transported to hospital.
