Swan River RCMP Investigate Business Break & Enter

RCMP Media Release | On June 5, 2014, at about 7:30 am Swan River RCMP were dispatched to a business break and enter that had occurred on the 500 block of Main Street in Swan River, MB.

Police attended and found that extensive damage had occurred to the main door and windows of Adventure Outdoors. As well as the interior being left in major disarray / vandalized, with a number of items taken.

Update: A large quantity of the property has since been recovered.

Jarrett Don Kematch (24 year old, male) of Indian Birch Indian Reserve (Wuskwi Sipihk Cree Nation) has been charged with: Break & Enter (business), Possession of Property obtained by Crime, and Disguised with intent to Commit Offence.

Kematch was remanded into custody to Dauphin and appeared back in Swan River on June 9, 2014. Kematch pled guilty on June 16, 2014 and received 6 months in gaol, 1 year probation, and a $202 fine.

Terrence Marcel Guiboche (30 year old, male) of Swan River has been charged with: Possession of Property obtained by Crime, and Resists/Obstruct Police.

Guiboche was released on a Promise to Appear for court in Swan River on July 2, 2014.
