Community spirit is alive & well in Minitonas. Last Wed evening, May 14, 2014 a group of busy gardeners could be found weeding, trimming & turning over the soil in the Village Square & Learners Park gardens – getting them ready for planting.

There were garden club members, local business owners and town folk helping where ever a hand was needed.

Many hands make quick work and a plant exchange was held after. There was something for everyone from peony roots, to iris and bulbs to name a few. Thank you to those who helped.

The next regular meeting of the Tent Town Garden Club will be held on Monday evening May 26th at 7 pm at the First Baptist Church basement (Minitonas) Guest speaker will be Brenda Zell Hollinaty – speaking about annuals. Everyone is most welcome.
