On Saturday March 15, 2014 Angie Ferland and Ricky Zimmer from the Swan Valley Tiger Fire Floor Hockey Team were in Dauphin for the Safeway Special Olympics Fundraising Day. From March 7th to 21st every $2 donation nets 5 air miles at Safeways across Canada.

Angie, who will be traveling to the Special Olympics Canada Summer Games in Vancouver in July with the Manitoba bowling team, Ricky, June Mosiondz, Tiger Fire Floor Hockey and Team Manitoba Bowling Coach, Safeway staff and volunteers sold tickets to a Spring Cleaning raffle basket to help raise additional funds.

The athletes enjoyed interacting with the great Safeway staff and friendly shoppers and helped raise $228 in donations.
