1. S. Windsor – J. Caruk
RESOLVED THAT the Agenda be adopted as presented.
Carried.

2. S. Windsor – D. Bartel
RESOLVED THAT the minutes of the Regular Meetings of the Council of the Town of Minitonas held on February 5th & February 19th, 2014 and the minutes of the Special Meeting of the Council of the Town of Minitonas held on February 24th, 2014 shall be adopted as circulated.

3. S. Windsor – J. Caruk
WHEREAS the Minitonas Town Council has reviewed the quotes for computer equipment required to ensure that the office runs smoothly and there is a smooth transition process to amalgamate the municipality at the end of the 2014 Fiscal Year;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT we do hereby agree to contribute a 30% share of the costs as per the attached quote, for a total of $2107 plus tax.

4. D. Bartel – S. Windsor
WHEREAS the Council of the Town of Minitonas has reviewed the Handi-Van Budget for the 2014 Fiscal Year, and are in agreement to the municipal levies being proposed;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT we do hereby agree to contribute $9600 towards the costs of operating the Handi-Van services for residents of the Town & RM of Minitonas and approve said budget as attached hereto;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the increase in the Office/Administrative Services paid to the municipal partners for management of the Minitonas Handi- Van shall be approved as per the recommendation submitted by the Handi-Van Association.

WHEREAS the Minitonas Town Council has now received a recommendation from the Fire Protection Committee regarding an increase of $1.00 per hour for volunteer fire fighters to reflect the risks, training commitment and cost of living increase;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT we do agree to amend the 2014 Firefighter Indemnities as per Schedule ‘A’ attached hereto, and that said increase shall be retroactive to January 1st, 2014.

6. S. Windsor – D. Bartel
RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Town on Minitonas does hereby approve the list of fire fighters as submitted by the Fire Protection Committee, a copy of which is attached hereto.
Carried.

7. S. Windsor – J. Caruk
RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Town of Minitonas does hereby confirm the appointment of BMP Chartered Accountants as auditors for the municipality with respect to the Annual Municipal Audit for the 2014 Fiscal Year.

8. J. Caruk – D. Bartel
RESOLVED THAT the Public Works Report for the month of February, 2014 shall be accepted as submitted by the Town Foreman, a copy of which is attached hereto.
Carried.

9. S. Windsor – D. Bartel
WHEREAS the Public Works Employee Overtime Reports have been received & reviewed by Council;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT all applicable hours recorded for the month of February, 2014 shall be approved and paid out with the March 14th, 2014 payroll or booked for future use as indicated on the aforementioned reports, copies of which have been attached hereto.

RESOLVED THAT we do now adjourn at 11:05 pm to meet again for the next regular meeting of Council to be held on the 19th day of March, 2014 A.D. at 7:00 pm.
