RESOLVED THAT the Agenda be adopted as amended.

RESOLVED THAT the minutes of the Regular Meetings of Council held on January 8th, 2014 & January 29th, 2014 and the Special Meetings of Council held on January 16th, 2014 shall be adopted as circulated.

RESOLVED THAT the Bank Reconciliation for the month ending January 31st, 2014 and the Financial Statement dated December 31st, 2013 shall be adopted as presented.

RESOLVED THAT we do hereby authorize payment of the List of Accounts numbered 8508 to 8585 inclusive, amounting to $ 365,152.02.

5. W. Pacamaniuk – E. Rinsdorf
RESOLVED THAT the 2014 Contract Agreements for the Council Safety Supervisor, Spare Equipment Operator and Mower Operator shall be approved as per the copies attached hereto.

6. D. Klekta – E. Rinsdorf
RESOLVED THAT the attached agreements for contract services regarding the 2012 and 2013 Flood Incidents shall be approved by the RM of Minitonas Council under the terms and conditions outlined therein effective January 1st, 2014, and;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Deputy Reeve is hereby authorized to sign said agreements on behalf of the Municipality.

7. W. Pacamaniuk – E. Rinsdorf
RESOLVED THAT the Council of the RM of Minitonas does hereby approve the attendance of the CAO at the Emergency Coordinator Workshop in Russell on February 25th, 2014, and;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT all expenses related to the course be covered in accordance with the local municipal policies and indemnity by-law.

WHEREAS the Council of the RM of Minitonas has received and reviewed the 2014 Budget for the Swan Valley Municipal Airport;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT we do hereby approve payment of the municipal levy in the amount of $10,406 as per the attached chart.

9. E. Rinsdorf – D. Klekta
RESOLVED THAT the Council of the RM of Minitonas does hereby acknowledge receipt of the 2014 Budget for the Swan Valley Recreation District, and approve payment of the municipal levy in the amount of $9063.60 as per the attached chart.

10. W. Pacamaniuk – D. Klekta
WHEREAS the RM of Minitonas Council believes that support of the Swan Valley Chamber of Commerce is important for local businesses & the local economy, and that attendance at the Thompson Trade Show is important in the promotion of our area as a great place to retire to for residents of northern communities;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT we do hereby agree to renew membership in the Swan Valley Chamber of Commerce for 2014 and an additional contribution of $996 for the costs to attend the Thompson Trade Show.

RESOLVED THAT the attached request for vacation shall be approved as submitted.

12. W. Pacamaniuk – D. Klekta
RESOLVED THAT we do hereby approve the attendance of the Reeve and CAO at the 2014 Mayors, Reeves & CAO’s – Parkland District Meeting in Swan River on March 18th, 2014 and shall make payment of all associated expenses under the terms and conditions of the current municipal indemnity by-law and policies.

RESOLVED THAT we do hereby agree to make payment for cell phone costs related to municipal works as attached hereto.
Carried.

RESOLVED THAT we do now adjourn at 12:50 pm to meet again for the next Regular Meeting of Council on February 25th, 2014 at 7:00 pm.
