THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT we do hereby appoint Deputy Reeve, Clint Eisner to chair this meeting.

WHEREAS Councillor, Eckhard Rinsdorf is absent from this meeting;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT we do hereby appoint Councillor, Walter Pacamaniuk as Finance Chairman for this meeting.

RESOLVED THAT the Agenda be adopted as presented.

RESOLVED THAT the minutes of the Regular Meetings of Council held on December 11th, 2013 & December 18th, 2013 and the Special Meetings of Council held on December 4th, 2013 & December 18th, 2013 shall be adopted as circulated.

RESOLVED THAT the Bank Reconciliation for the month ending November 30th, 2013 and the Preliminary Financial Statement for the month ending December 31st, 2013 shall be adopted as presented.

RESOLVED THAT we do hereby authorize payment of the List of Accounts numbered 8437 to 8507 inclusive, amounting to $126,627.27.

RESOLVED THAT CAO, Carolyn Gordon shall be hereby authorized to make application to Manitoba Conservation for application of the attached list of pesticides for rural weed control during the 2014 calendar year.

RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Rural Municipality of Minitonas does hereby appoint the following persons as ‘Honorary Fire Guardians’ for the 2014 Wildfire Season, with the notification of said appointments to be submitted to Manitoba Conservation;

WHEREAS the attached quote was received for winter safety apparel for the Public Works Staff and meets the Safety Standards as required and meets the approval of council;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT we do hereby approve the purchase of 4 sets of winter safety gear as attached hereto.

RESOLVED THAT the contract agreement with Louis Delaurier for 2014 Building Inspection Services shall be renewed under the terms and conditions attached hereto.

11. W. Pacamaniuk – D. Klekta
RESOLVED THAT By-Law No. 1/2014, being a by-law of the Rural Municipality of Minitonas for the purpose of opening a municipal road, shall be introduced and read a first time this 8th day of January, 2014 A.D.

WHEREAS Subsection 184(1) of the Municipal Act requires that municipal councils appoint an auditor each year by August 31st, and;
WHEREAS the Council of the Rural Municipality of Minitonas accepted the proposal submitted by BMP Chartered Accountants for Audit Services for the 2014 Fiscal Year;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT notice of the aforementioned appointment shall be sent to Manitoba Local Government as required.

RESOLVED THAT a Special Meeting of the RM of Minitonas Council shall be held on January 16th, 2014 at 7:00 pm for the purpose of discussing unfinished business from today’s meeting.

RESOLVED THAT we do now adjourn at 12:02 pm to meet again for the next Regular Meeting of Council on January 29th, 2014 at 7:00 pm.
