The Swan Valley Chamber of Commerce counted down to Midnight Madness on Saturday, November 30, 2013 with Christmas carols, visits with Santa, hot dogs & hot chocolate and the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.

Those who stopped by to share in the holiday spirit appreciated the warmer weather this year. Even with the higher temperatures, hot chocolate was still a welcomed treat.

Santa handed out candy canes and listened to the Christmas wishes of many eager kids of all ages. Beginning at 4:00 in the afternoon, Santa stayed until after dark when the lights of the tree were shining and every last request was heard.

As 6:00 pm neared, Mayor Glen McKenzie plugged in the tree that will share the Christmas spirit with all those who pass by during this festive season.

After stopping for a few moments to admire the tree, people rushed off to hunt down some deals downtown at the Midnight Madness sale.
