Many people from around the valley stopped by the Elks Hall to show their appreciation for the many years of tireless work that Bruce and Ursula have served with the Swan Valley Food Bank.

Gordon Lincoln entertained those in attendance with his gift of music and with his humorous account of meeting Bruce Taylor for the first time.

MLA Ron Kostyshyn presented Bruce and Ursula with a copy of a Member’s Statement in recognition of their dedication and commitment to the Swan Valley. The Member’s Statement was read in session at the Manitoba Legislative Assembly and put in the archives at the Legislative Building.

Several individuals shared that when they asked Bruce the reason for his dedication, he replied, “When I deliver a hamper to someone’s home and see the appreciation in their eyes of the recipient, I know it does much more for me than it does for the person receiving the food.”
