A Regular Meeting of Council of the Village of Benito was called to order at 7:00 pm on Tuesday October 8, 2013 in the Village Council Chambers.

Present: Mayor Meadows;
Deputy Mayor Scouten;

Councilor Schneider;Councilor Offenberger;
Absent with permission – Councilor Zebinski

Chief Administrative Officer ~ Pat Ellingson.

Mayor Meadows called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm

1. SCHNEIDER
SCOUTEN
RESOLVED that the minutes of the Regular Meeting Council held on September 24, 2013 be adopted as presented.
Carried.

2. SCOUTEN
OFFENBERGER
RESOLVED that the agenda for the Regular meeting held on October 8, 2013 be adopted as presented.
Carried.

3. SCOUTEN
SCHNEIDER
RESOLVED that accounts numbered 24953 to 25004 in the amount
totaling $38,885.09 be ratified as paid.
Carried.

4. SCOUTEN
OFFENBERGER
RESOLVED that members of Council be authorized to attend the municipal officials meeting being held in Portage la Prairie on Thursday October 10, 2013; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that expenses be authorized for payment as per By-Law #02/08.
Carried.

5. OFFENBERGER
SCOUTEN
RESOLVED that the Village of Benito hereby appoints Pacak,Kowal
Hardie and Company of Swan River, Manitoba as Auditor for the Village for the years ending December 31, 2013 and 2014.
Carried.

6. SCHNEIDER
SCOUTEN
WHEREAS there have been no appeals to the 2014 preliminary rolls for the 2013 Board of Revision;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the 2014 Board of Revision scheduled for Tuesday October 22, 2013 be hereby cancelled and that the Municipal Assessor be notified of the aforesaid cancellation; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 2014 Assessment Roll be adopted as presented.
