On September 10, 2013 at the Temple Baptist Church community members came together to participate in the Community Awareness Walk which was to bring awareness about suicide and fight the stigma that comes with suicide.

There were about 60-70 community members in total ranging from toddler to adult in age. The walk began at 1:30 in the afternoon and was followed by a short 15 minute presentation and narrative as well as refreshments.
