Despite haying going full swing right now, twelve members showed up for team penning practice at the Blue Sky Arena on August 16, 2013 – some with multiple horses in tow, and the bleachers were full with spectators.

It was great to see some new faces!

Some new riders were attendance, and some new horses, too. There was lots to watch as new riders and horses learned the ropes, and the more experienced honed their skills.

Despite the heat of the day, the evening was just right and the cattle gave everyone a good workout!

Many thanks to the new makeup artists who creatively colored tagged the cows for us, the members who brought along food and beverages for everyone, and our volun-told photographer who graciously snapped pictures all night long. It was a great evening!

Our next practice penning evening is Friday, August 31st at 7 pm.
Our jackpot competition is scheduled for Sunday, September 8, youth and open teams.

Our arena is located approximately ¼ mile west of the junction of highways 83 & 49, south of Benito.
