The afternoon started with a bang at the 15th Annual Durban Demo Derby on Sunday, August 11, 2013. A spectacular hit in the first heat created this amazing masterpiece of metal.

Drivers Derrick Krochak and Clint Burtanak emerged from their vehicles to pose in front of their creation.

The demo derby delivers loud, raw, hard hitting, destructive entertainment and always draws a crowd.

After 3 heats, grand challenge, mechanics and powder puff, there is not much left of many of the cars to drag away.

Faron Burtanak won the Grand Challenge and a $1,500 cash prize.
Nathan Ribalkin took 2nd and $500.

It takes guts to drive in the demo. But after watching a few heats, it kind of makes you want to give it a try.
