The Swan Valley Hoedowners “tied up” their square dance season with a special par”tie” held at the Kenville Hall on Saturday, April 20, 2013.

More than seven squares of enthusiastic dancers enjoyed a full day of dancing led by callers Linda Gilchrist and Brad Slepicka.

Because this year’s theme was “ties”, most dancers were sporting some very innovative neck apparel.

Dancers from out of the Valley came from Moose Jaw, Regina, Yorkton, Canora, Endeavour, Virden, Hamiota, Russell, Brandon, Grandview, Dauphin, Preeceville, Theodore, and Binscarth.

At five o’clock the dancers broke for a delicious supper supplied by the Hoedowners. After supper, dancing continued for a couple of hours and then it was time to loosen the ties and relax after a satisfying day of dancing.

Club president Fay Perrin, social convenor Bev Lumax, food convenors Pat Yaskiw and Sylvia Hnatiuk, callers Brad and Linda, and all Hoedowner members are to be congratulated on a great effort and successful wind-up.
