In a awesome show of community spirit, the community members of Minitonas and surrounding area and local businesses came together to support the Minitonas and District Arena on Saturday, February 16, 2013.

The evening started with an appetizer and cocktail hour with viewing of the items up for auction. There was also a PowerPoint presentation playing throughout the evening that also displayed the items.

A delicious meal with dessert was prepared and served that was enjoyed by all present.

A thank you to Sean Baskier, who played an instrumental role in guiding the work leading up to the auction and keeping everyone in attendance entertained and the events running smoothly.


It was a fun filled evening with great company, food, drink and exciting fundraising, aided by the auctioning skills of Dennis Kalynuk and Gary Clapham!

With the generosity of the donors, and bidders and the hard work provided by the Minitonas and District Arena Board, Minitonas United Church Ladies, parents and families of the children who enjoy the arena, and Town and R.M of Minitonas employees, the auction raised just over $30,000 for the Minitonas and District Arena.
