The Bowsman United Church held a Christmas Eve Service and Concert on December 24, 2012.
To open our service and our hearts to this special time of year, Judy Melnechuk used her gift to perform a solo of “O Holy Night”.

The service moved into the lighting of the Christ candle and the congregation sang the third verse of “O Little Town of Bethlehem”.

The choir further prepared our hearts and sang the Anthem “Unto Us A Child Is Born.”

The choir once again brought the message of this night to everyone in the form of the song “Holy is the New Born Child”.

At this time the drama “What Shall We Do With This Baby?” was performed. What shall we do with this baby? This is the question that has echoed through time.

Nothing is more helpless and needy than an infant alone. Without human help a baby alone cannot thrive or survive. What shall we do with this baby indeed!

The wise men did come to worship, but they did not come empty handed. The gifts they brought were surely an investment for the future needs of a growing child.

So the question will echo on. What shall we do with this baby? And each of us will answer it in our own way.

Rev. Highmoor invited all forward to the table to join in holy communion.

In the beauty of candle light the congregation sang the hymn “Silent Night”.
