A Regular Meeting of Council of the Village of Benito was called to order at 7:00 pm on Tuesday December 11, 2012 in the Village Council Chambers.

Mayor Meadows called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.

RESOLVED that the minutes of the regular meeting of Council held on November 13, 2012 be adopted as presented.

RESOLVED that the agenda for the Regular meeting held on December 11, 2012 be adopted as amended.

RESOLVED that the Village of Benito accept the quote attached hereto as Schedule “A” for a compressor as required for the Benito Fire Department for the Fire Truck.

RESOLVED that the December Animal Control Report be accepted as presented by the animal Control Officer.

RESOLVED that the Benito Fire Department Wages Summary for the period from July to December 2012 attached hereto as Schedule “A” be accepted and approved for payment as presented.

WHEREAS in accordance with Section 163 of The Municipal Act, the Council of the Village of Benito has made an interim budget for the Year 2013 for the period from January 1, 2013 until the adoption of the Annual Financial Plan;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the following interim budget be hereby adopted:

WHEREAS the Village of Benito has appointed Pacak Kowal Hardie & Company of Swan River, Manitoba as Auditor for the Village for the year 2012;
RESOLVED that the Chief Administrative Officer be hereby authorized to sign the engagement letter as required.

WHEREAS the Employee overtime reports and sick benefits summary have been received and reviewed by Council;
BE IT RESOLVED that the benefits summary be accepted as presented and the November overtime reports be approved for payment as presented.

RESOLVED that the Village Office be closed on Monday December 17 and Friday December 21, 2012.
