ValleyBiz Story |

Zombies, ghouls, vampires, witches and all things dead, un-dead and generally scary haunted the Minitonas & District Arena during a fundraising Skate-A-Thon on Sunday, October 28, 2012.

The spooky group included over 70 participants ranging from the very scary to this frighteningly cute pair of witches.

The Skate-A-Thon raised $3,600 for the arena and that does not include fundraising proceeds still to come from the Minitonas Middle Years School.

There were also plenty of unique and colorful creations.

The kids were treated to hotdogs and halloween treats giving them plenty of energy to wear off out on the ice.

Near the end of the event, prizes were given for costumes, fundraising efforts and age of participants.

The youngest skaters provided a glimpse of the many years of fun and recreation that lie ahead.

It was a great time to hang out with family and friends.

Even the Swan Valley Stampeders got into the spirit, stopping by to show their support and hang out with the kids.

The day was a perfect combination of kids, costumes, candy, prizes and a good cause.
