Business Break, Enter and Theft in Swan River

On September 8, 2012 at about 2:00 am, Swan River RCMP were investigating an attempt mischief/theft from a motor vehicle at the Starlight Trailer Court located in the town of Swan River, Manitoba.


At this time Police observed a person walking near the entrance of the trailer court and highway 10 across from the Timberland Inn.

Police found two intoxicated females, being in possession of open liquor, and one of which having an outstanding warrant of arrest. Incidental to the arrests, an undisclosed amount of cash was found in their possession.

Further investigation has led to charges against:

Winonah Summersun Leask (18 year old), of Shoal River Indian Reserve having been charged with Breaking, entering and committing theft from the Timberland Inn.

Dakota Tracey Rae Maytwayashing (18 year old), of Shoal River Indian Reserve having been charged with Breaking, entering and committing theft from the Timberland Inn.
