The Tent Town Garden Club held their 30th Annual Fruit Festival at the Town Hall in Minitonas on Saturday, September 8, 2012.

The Garden Club creates and maintains the beautiful public flower gardens around Minitonas.

The Fruit Festival is the Garden Club’s annual fundraising event. Club members supplied over 40 pies and 20 other desserts to serve at the tea.

Additional baking was also provided for the Garden Club’s table at the festival. A variety of baked goods, fruit, vegetables, honey and crafts were also available for purchase from a number of other vendors.

Raffles and Door Prizes were also held throughout the afternoon.

The Tent Town Gardening Club also has a junior gardening club for Grade 3 and 4 students at Minitonas Early Years School, ensuring another generation of gardeners will be ready to keep Minitonas looking its best.
