C & B Stirling Enterprises Ltd.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the tender bid be accepted from C & B Stirling Enterprises Ltd. as per the cost comparison attached hereto.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the tender bid be accepted from Cook Bros. Cartage Ltd. as per the cost comparison attached hereto.

RESOLVED that the Weed Inspector’s reports dated June 6, 2012 and July 11, 2012 be accepted as received and that expenses be paid.

WHEREAS recent continued heavy rain falls have resulted in severe damage and erosion to farm lands, leaving many acres unusable or inaccessible, affecting the livelihood of the producers;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Rural Municipality of Swan River request financial assistance and guidance from the Federal Government of Canada to deal with said damage and erosion to farm lands resulting from rivers, creeks, and streams overflowing their banks.

WHEREAS the bridge on the Hubble Creek on Road #218 has been closed for the past two years because of safety issues;
AND WHEREAS the Rural Municipality of Swan River has designated this road as a Main Market Haul Road;
AND WHEREAS the closure of this road has caused excessive traffic to be diverted to other Municipal roads and has caused serious damage to several miles of Municipal Infrastructure (roads that cannot handle the heavy loads);
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Rural Municipality of Swan River request Manitoba Water Control and Structures to replace the bridge crossing as soon as possible so that the designated haul road can be used.

WHEREAS the Rural Municipality of Swan River experienced another significant weather event on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, that has caused damage to municipal and personal property;
AND WHEREAS restoring and repairing the municipal infrastructure would cause great financial hardship for the ratepayers and the Municipality;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that council apply to Manitoba Emergency Measures to provide Disaster Financial Assistance for the public and private sector.
