RCMP Recover Truck Stolen from Swan River

At about 5:30 a.m., Sunday morning, June 10th, Swan River RCMP received a complaint of a 1991 Chevrolet pickup stolen from a local business parking lot in Swan River.



At 7:05 a.m., with the public’s assistance, the truck was located in a ditch west of Swan River on Provincial Road 275 on its side partially submerged in water.

A short time later, an 18-year-old female from Yorkton, Saskatchewan was located at a residence in Swan River uninjured.

The subsequent investigation led police to arrest the female for Theft Under $5000. She has since been released on a Promise to Appear. Formal charges have yet to be laid. However, she is scheduled to make her first appearance in Swan River Provincial Court on August 1, 2012.

Alcohol is a believed to have been a contributing factor in the collision.

The investigation continues.
