A Regular Meeting of Council
of the Village of Benito was
called to order at 7:00 pm on
Tuesday May 22, 2012 in the
Village Council Chambers.

Present – Mayor Meadows; Deputy Mayor Scouten;
Councilor Offenberger; Councilor Zebinski; Councilor Schneider
Chief Administrative Officer – Pat Ellingson

Mayor Meadows called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.

RESOLVED that the minutes of the last regular meeting of Council held on May 8, 2012 and the Special Meeting held on May 10, 2012 be accepted as presented.
Carried.

RESOLVED that the agenda for the Special meeting held on May 22, 2012 be adopted as presented.
Carried.

RESOLVED that Bylaw #03/12, being a By-law of the Village of Benito to appoint Designated Officers to manage the operations of the Benito Fire Department be read a first time.
Carried.

RESOLVED that By-law #03/12, being a By-law of the Village of Benito to appoint Designated Officers to manage the operations of the Benito Fire Department be read a second time.
Carried.

BE IT RESOLVED that changes the Policy #300 to be adopted as presented.
Carried.

RESOLVED that the May Animal Control Report be accepted as presented by the Animal Control Officer.
Carried.

SCOUTEN
RESOLVED that the Public Notice for the Board of Revision for the 2013 Assessment Roll to be held on October 23, 2012 be submitted to the Star & Times for publication; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the deadline for submission of appeals to the Secretary of the Board shall be set at October 9, 2012.

RESOLVED that the Council of the Village of Benito declare the Canada Day Celebrations to be held on July 1st and sponsored by the Benito Canada Day Committee be declared as a community event which will be open to the public.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the Village of Benito declare its support of the application by the Benito & District Recreation Complex to hold a Beer Garden at this Public Event.

BE IT RESOLVED that the May Maintenance report be accepted as presented by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Carried.

WHEREAS the Employee overtime reports have been received and reviewed by Council;
BE IT RESOLVED that the overtime be approved for payment as presented.
Carried.

RESOLVED that we do adjourn the meeting at 10:50 pm
