The next day when she returned from school, she showed her mother a poster and said, “We’re having a bakesale.”
The grade 6 student and her friends, Jessica, Abby and Katie prepared baking for the sale and, with additional items donated by their families and the community, they had enough baked goods to last from 10am until they sold out at 3pm.
The bakesale raised $1,450 for the Brunel Family thanks to the support of the community and their generous “overpayments”.
