RESOLVED THAT the minutes of the Special Meeting of Council held on March 20th, 2012, and the Regular Meetings of Council held on March 14th, 2012 and March 28th, 2012, shall be adopted as circulated.

RESOLVED THAT we do hereby authorize payment of the List of Accounts numbered 6830 to 6893 inclusive, amounting to $96,509.66.

RESOLVED THAT the RM of Minitonas Council does hereby approve the attached request for 40 hours of vacation time in lieu of accumulated overtime.

5.

RESOLVED THAT the attached list of persons are hereby approved to attend the Emergency Exercise to be held on April 29th, 2012 and all applicable expenses shall be paid in accordance with the current RM of Minitonas By-Laws and Policies.

RESOLVED THAT the edits to the Wage Scale for Public Works (Seasonal) shall be adopted as attached hereto.

RESOLVED THAT the transfer of funds from the municipality’s Reserve Accounts to their General Chequing Account shall be approved as per Schedule ‘A’ attached hereto.

RESOLVED THAT the 2012 Budget for the Swan Valley Planning District shall be approved as submitted, a copy of which is attached hereto.

9.
W. Pacamaniuk – E. Rinsdorf
RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Rural Municipality of Minitonas does hereby declare Friday as ‘Summer Games Wear Day’.
Carried.

10.
C. Eisner – W. Pacamaniuk
WHEREAS the Thunderhill Ski Club has approached the Swan River Valley municipalities for funding assistance regarding the expansion of their skiing facility;
RESOLVED THAT the Council of the RM of Minitonas does hereby agree to extend the current special levy for Swan Valley recreation funding by one year for a grant in the amount of $15,000.00 (based on the municipality’s share of the project using the 2011 census data for cost sharing) in the 2013 Budget towards the capital construction/expansion being undertaken by the Thunderhill Ski Club;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the aforementioned grant shall be paid on October 31st, 2013.

WHEREAS recreation is an integral part of the Swan River Valley Communities and upgrades to our athletic facilities are critical in providing recreation for our students and citizens;
AND WHEREAS this project will benefit the 2012 Manitoba Summer Games and all of the communities in the Swan River Valley;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the RM of Minitonas Council approves the 2012 Swan Valley Host Society Inc.’s application for funding to the Parkland Regional Development Corporation Grant in regards to upgrading of the Athletic Track located at the Swan Valley Regional Secondary School.

WHEREAS recreation is an integral part of the Swan River Valley Communities and upgrades to our parks are critical in providing recreation to our citizens;
AND WHEREAS this project will benefit the 2012 Manitoba Summer Games and all of the communities in the Swan River Valley;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the RM of Minitonas Council approves the 2012 Swan Valley Host Society Inc.’s application for funding to the Parkland Regional Development Corporation Grant in regards to the building of an outdoor stage at the Legion Park.
