Regular Meeting of the members of Council of the Rural Municipality of Minitonas, held in Council Chambers, in Minitonas, Manitoba this 28th day of March, 2012 A.D. at 8:15pm.

RESOLVED THAT the Agenda be adopted as amended.
Carried.

2.
W. Pacamaniuk – D. Klekta
RESOLVED THAT the members of the Rural Municipality of Minitonas Council do hereby agree to go ‘In Camera’ as a Committee of the Whole in accordance with Subsection 152(3)(b)(ii) of the Municipal Act, and in respect to Grader Positions.
Carried.

Assistant Kasey Chartrand left the meeting at 8:30 pm.

W. Pacamaniuk – D. Klekta
RESOLVED THAT we do agree to return to reopen the meeting to the public in accordance with Subsection 152(4) of the Municipal Act.
Carried.

4.
C. Eisner – E. Rinsdorf
RESOLVED THAT the Council agrees to hire Raymond Terry for the position of Grader Operator for the RM of Minitonas as per the details attached;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the successful applicant shall be given the opportunity to start as soon as possible, once all aspects of the job set out in the RM of Minitonas Employee Policy have been reviewed and agreed to, as attested to by their signature on the respective documents.

Assistant CAO Kasey Chartrand returned to the meeting at 8:45 pm.

5.
W. Pacamaniuk – C. Eisner
WHEREAS the Town of Minitonas and the RM of Minitonas passed resolutions requesting the Province of Manitoba amend their agreement for fire protection in areas of the Duck Mountain Provincial Park to include vehicle fires;
AND WHEREAS the Minitonas RM Council has received an amendment to the current agreement as requested by the councils, and approve of said amendment as submitted;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT we do hereby accept the amendment to the agreement with the Province of Manitoba for fire protection services in areas of the Duck Mountain Provincial Park as attached hereto, and;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Reeve and Chief Administrative Officer are hereby authorized to sign the amendment to said agreement on behalf of the municipality.

E. Rinsdorf – D. Klekta
RESOLVED THAT the Reeve & Council shall sit as a Board of Revision for the 2013 Assessment Roll for the Rural Municipality of Minitonas, with the date for the hearing to be set for November 14th, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Council Chambers at the Minitonas Municipal Office;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT all members of council shall be appointed as members of the Board of Revision, that Reeve Michael McIntosh shall be appointed as the Chairperson, and that CAO Carolyn Gordon shall be appointed as the Recording Secretary to hear appeals to the real property, personal property and business property assessment roll for 2013.

RESOLVED THAT By-Law No. 3/2012, being a by-law of the Rural Municipality of Minitonas for the purpose of governing certain aspects of drains and drainage on public or private property, shall be read a third time this 28th day of March, 2012 A.D., signed by the Reeve and signed & sealed by the Chief Administrative Officer.

RESOLVED THAT the council of the RM of Minitonas designates the date of May 12th, 2012 as the Lenswood Community Event known as the ‘Lenswood Mother’s Day Dance’.

WHEREAS the members of council are attending the Municipal Officials Seminar in Brandon on April 11th, 2012:
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT we do now adjourn at 9:30 pm to meet again for the next Regular Meeting of Council on April 10th, 2012 at 8:00 am.
