RCMP Media Release | On March 22, 2012, at about 11:30 a.m. Swan River RCMP were notified of the discovery of a body at an outdoor area in Benito, Manitoba.

A search of the area had previously been made in January, 2012, in relation to a missing person report from the Benito area. At this time, investigators believe the two events are connected.

The deceased has been tentatively identified as an adult female. The identity of the deceased has not been confirmed, nor has a cause of death.

An autopsy has been scheduled. No further information is available.
