Submitted by: Barry Stephen | If you missed the 15th annual Billy Beal Classic, you missed one of the best ever. If you were there you’ll know what I mean when I say the weather was unbelievable, the conditions were great, the food was awesome and the fishing was pretty good too.

There was virtually no water on the fishing area or in the tent. It was as good as it can get. It was sunny, about 15C with no wind, absolutely the best.
There were 465 fisherman and 28 fish caught ranging from a 7 oz perch to a 5lb 11 oz pike worth $10,000.00 caught by Grant Nepinak. Congratulations to Grant and to all the people who caught a fish. There were 4 people who caught 2 fish each.
The committee would like to thank all the PEOPLE who came out to fish and to all the SPONSORS and DONORS. Without ALL of you this event would not happen. All of the proceeds go to the Billy Beal Medical Assistance Fund which goes to help families who need financial help with travel when going for medical needs away from the Valley.
