A Regular Meeting of Council of the Village of Benito was called to
order at 7:00 pm on Tuesday January 24, 2012 in the Village Council
Chambers.
Present – Mayor Meadows; Deputy Mayor Scouten; Councilor
Schneider; Councilor Offenberger; Councilor Zebinski
Chief Administrative Officer – Pat Ellingson
Delegation: Maintenance Report – Assistant
Maintenance Supervisor William Woytkiw
Mayor Meadows called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.

RESOLVED that the minutes of the regular meeting of Council held on
January 10, 2012 be adopted as presented.
Carried.

RESOLVED that the agenda for the meeting held on January 24, 2012
be adopted as amended.
Carried.

BE IT RESOLVED that the January Maintenance report be accepted as
presented by the Assistant Maintenance Supervisor.

RESOLVED that we make the following transfers of funds as per
budget:
1. from general reserve fund to G.O.F. $7,911.79
2. from Utility Reserve Fund to G.O.F. $20, 128.89

RESOLVED that Bill Woytkiw be authorized to attend the Workplace
Safety & Health Training Workshops in Minitonas, MB on Wednesday,
February 1, and Friday, February 3, 2012; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that expenses be authorized for payment.

RESOLVED that the January Animal Control Report be accepted as
presented by the Animal Control Officer.

RESOLVED that the year 2011 be the designated year with regards to
the Village of Benito Tax Sale; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT all properties with taxes owning for
any portion of the year 2010 or prior shall be offered for sale by public
auction to be held at 10:00 a.m. on November 6, 2012 in order to
recover tax arrears and all associated costs; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Taxervice is hereby authorized to
conduct the 2012 Tax Sale on Behalf of the Village of Benito.

RESOLVED that the Village of Benito approve the 2012 Budget as
presented by the Swan Valley Emergency Measures District; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the annual support of $1211.00 be
authorized for payment.

RESOLVED that members of Council and the Chief Administrative
Officer be authorized to attend the G-7 Meeting in Minitonas on
Monday February 6, 2012; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that mileage and expenses be authorized
for payment.

RESOLVED that the Village of Benito transfer $100.00 from the
General Operating Fund to the Recreation Trust Fund.

RESOLVED that the Regular Meeting of Council scheduled for Tuesday
February 28, 2012 be hereby cancelled.

RESOLVED that the Chief Administrative Officer and Office Clerk be
authorized to attend the training offered by Munisoft in Minitonas on
February 11, 2012; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that registration; overtime wage and
expenses be authorized for payment.
