We Will Remember Them

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them,
nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Remembrance Day observances began in Swan River at 10:25 on the morning of November 11, 2011 with a march from the Veterans Community Hall to the Cenotaph where Veterans laid wreaths to honor the fallen.

Following the laying of wreaths at the Cenotaph, a Remembrance Day Service was held at the Veteran’s Community Hall in Swan River.

For those who have not experienced war first hand, it is difficult to truly understand the courage and determiniation demonstrated by generations of Canadian Veterans. While we may not remember the battles they fought, we can remember that we live in a free and peaceful country because of the sacrifices of the men and women who have served, and continue to serve our country during times of war, conflict and peace.
