RCMP Media Release | On June 25, 2011 at about 6:30 a.m. Winnipegosis RCMP as well as local emergency services were dispatched to a complaint of an assault at a residence on Pine Creek First Nation.

On arrival at the residence, police discovered an unresponsive 24 year old male. The man was transported by ambulance to Swan River Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The name of the deceased will not be released at this time. An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow.

The death is being treated as a homicide. No charges have been laid at this time. The investigation is continuing with the assistance of the RCMP Major Crime Service and RCMP Forensic Identification Section.
