Submitted by: Karla Weir | Birch River held an Easter Brunch this Saturday to fundraise for it’s upcoming 2011 Homecoming this summer. It was a great day to catch up with friends and family from here in the valley, but also with those who were home for the Easter weekend.

The many in attendance enjoyed the pancake breakfast and were quite happy to steal a sneak peek at the Homecoming souvenirs being sold this summer. There were several lucky winners from the silent auction full of generous donations from Valley businesses. Of course the highlight of the morning for the kids was the Easter Egg hunt outside – you can never find too many chocolate eggs!!
