RCMP Investigate Attempted Murder on Pine Creek First Nation

RCMP Media Release | On April 12, 2011 just before 7:00 p.m., Winnipegosis RCMP were dispatched to the scene of a shooting on Pine Creek First Nation.
 
Initial investigation indicates that there were a number of males fighting at the location. A firearm was discharged, and a 34 year old man from Duck Bay, Manitoba was struck. He was treated and released from hospital with non life threatening injuries.
 
36 year old Dallas Wallace Simpson, and 34 year old Neil Clayton McLeod, both of Pine Creek First Nation, have been charged with Attempted Murder With a Firearm, Careless Use of a Firearm, and Discharge a Firearm With Intent to Endanger Life.
 
They remain in custody, and have made a first appearance in Dauphin Provincial Court.
 
A 26 year old man from Pine Creek First Nation was also arrested, and is facing charges of Assault Causing Bodily Harm, Uttering Threats to Kill, and Breach of Probation. He has been released from custody, and is scheduled to appear in Dauphin Provincial Court in June, 2011.
 
Winnipegosis RCMP with the assistance of Dauphin Major Crimes continue to investigate. No further information is available at this time.
