The Council of the Town of Swan River met on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 7:00 pm in the Town Council Chambers with Mayor Jacobson presiding along with Deputy Mayor Moriaux and Councillors Bobick, Medwid, Powell, and Whyte.

9.2 Hot Water Tank – Aquatic Center

WHEREAS, The Town of Swan River Recreation Department use funds of $17,842.80 from the Recreation Reserve fund to purchase and replace the nonfunctioning natural gas hot water tank from Swan-Pas Refrigeration & AC.
AND WHEREAS, recommended equipment for optimal operational needs is important to ensure the Swan Valley Credit Union Aquatic Center is functioning properly for patrons use.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, Recreation Director Purchase the AOSmith Nat Gas Hot Water Tank at a cost of $17,843.80 with funds from the Recreation Reserve.

WHEREAS Subsection 300(6) of The Municipal Act provides that a municipality may cancel or reduce taxes, upon receipt of assessment alterations from Manitoba Assessment Services;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the assessment alteration provided by Manitoba Assessment Services on November 14, 2023 be made to the 2023 Property Tax Roll for the resulting reduction of $924.98.
