Whereas the Town of Swan River believes in collaborative partnerships with our neighboring municipalities regarding services that benefit all residents of the Valley as a whole.
And Whereas the Town of Swan River recognizes the benefit to all residents of the Swan River Valley that is brought by being able to work together with our neighbors and also recognizes the severe impediment to future municipal partnerships that will be caused by a failure to work collaboratively with the Municipality of Swan Valley West.
And Whereas the Town of Swan River is willing to reduce our total yearly ask by 8%. This would conclude that in 2021 and 2022 the official request to Swan Valley West would be reduced from 417,000.00 to 383,500.00.
Therefore be it resolved that The Town of Swan River submit a proposal to Swan Valley West to a two year agreement formed with a reduction of 33,500 for year 2021 and 2022 totalling 383,500 in 2021 and 383,500 in 2022.
