RESOLVED THAT Stuart Walmsley shall be appointed as Finance Chair for this council meeting.

RESOLVED THAT we do hereby authorize payment of the List of Accounts numbered 9158 to 9274 inclusive, amounting to $276,528.37.

RESOLVED THAT the Bank Reconciliation for the month ending March 31, 2021 shall be approved as presented.

RESOLVED THAT the Financial Statement for the month ending March 31, 2021 shall be approved as presented.

RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman does hereby approve the Staff Expense Reports as submitted.

RESOLVED THAT the Animal Control Report for the month of March 2021 be accepted as submitted.

RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman does hereby agree to purchase Magnesium Chloride for Dust Control from Fort Distributors as per attached details & quote, and;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the cost for private dust control shall be set at $350.00 for 300 feet (approximately 1000 litres of Magnesium Chloride).

RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman agrees to accept the attached quote for the loading & hauling of Municipal road gravel for 2021.

RESOLVED THAT we do hereby agree to purchase culverts through the AMM Buying Program as per the attached.
Carried.

12. W. Kolisnyk – G. Bartel
RESOLVED THAT we do hereby agree to pay for the removal of beavers as per the attached.

RESOLVED THAT By-Law No. 02-2021, being a By-law of the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman for the purpose of establishing a Bowsman Utility Reserve for replacement and repairs of Bowsman water and sewer infrastructure, shall be read a second time this 20th day of April, 2021 A.D.

WHEREAS Council feels it is important to provide assistance to urban residents for removal of branches and other refuse resulting from spring cleaning;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT we do designate May 10 – 14, 2021 as Spring Cleanup Week in Minitonas and Bowsman.

RESOLVED THAT the Council meeting scheduled for May 4, 2021 be cancelled.
Carried.

31. D. Wagner – G. Bartel
WHEREAS Council feels it is important to ensure that the Minitonas Cemetery grounds and plots are maintained.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT we do designate May 21, 2021 as Cemetery Cleanup Day at the Minitonas Cemetery.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT members of the Public Works staff will be available to assist anyone who wishes to clean up their loved ones’ plots.

RESOLVED THAT the Council for the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman does hereby agree to continue past curfew by majority of council in accordance with the current Procedures By-Law.

33. S. Walmsley – L. Hutman
RESOLVED THAT the members of the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman Council do hereby agree to go ‘In Camera’ as a Committee of the Whole in accordance with Subsection 152(3)(b)(ii) of the Municipal Act.
Carried.

34. C. Densen – G. Bartel
RESOLVED THAT we do agree to return to reopen the meeting to the public in accordance with Subsection 152(4) of the Municipal Act.

RESOLVED THAT we do now adjourn at 10:46 p.m. to meet again on May 18, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. for the next regular meeting of Council.
